ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Boilermaker to join our Maintenance at Grassdale. This permanent full-time position will be responsible for:
This position works to ensure that operations are completed safely, accurately, in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence by:
Ensuring all company owned and operated plant and equipment is maintained in excellent working order in accordance with agreed standards, to minimise unplanned downtime.
Performing evaluations on equipment and completing necessary maintenance to return the equipment to a serviceable state.
Exercising responsibility for the quality of their own work.
Communicating all relevant information regularly to management, staff, internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the effective and efficient operation of feedlot maintenance.
Maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely accessibility and high-quality data input, in line with Mort & Co policy and procedure.
ABOUT YOU
The Key Criteria Include:
Interest in working within a processing plant and growing a career in feed mill operations.
Certificate III in a relevant trade.
Experience gained through apprenticeship and on the job training.
Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW); Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with the team, other departments and external stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate reasonable care for self and others, role model safe work practices, reporting incidents and hazards and work to proactive safety solutions.
Valid Driver’s Licence
Highly desirable, but not essential:
Working at Heights Certification
Confined Space Ticket
Hot work Permit
Permit to work
Gas Test Atmosphere Certification.
Forklift licence
Experience in Thermal lancing or Arc Air Gouging
Computerised management maintenance systems
Experience in TIG
